Coalition Initiatives

1. Expanding the Ombudsman’s portfolio to investigate school boards (check out the Facebook “Ombudsman
for Ontario Schools” group);

2. Alternatively, create a third party organization to inve-stigate school board complaints outside of the school
board’s jurisdiction;

3. Practices and procedures need to be universal;

4. Statistics need to be kept;

5. Programs currently in place need to be results/stats based in order to determine whether or not the program
is effective.
